A strong wave arrives this afternoon into tonight. This wave has potential to bring 6-12″ of snow to the Cottonwoods by midday Tuesday.
Right now it looks like a break in the action Tuesday evening into Tuesday night before the next wave of energy moves in Wednesday into Wednesday night. Another 4-8″ is possible with this secondary wave.
Tuesday and Thursday look like the best chances for powder skiing at this point. Remember, Brighton closes today so Snowbird will be the only resort open. Lots of good backcountry skiing out there as well, but there will still be avalanche danger. So please consult UAC before going into uncontrolled areas.
Showers continue Thursday thru Saturday at times. Even a chance for a weak system on Monday of next week. Then, we could finally see a more persistent ridge of high pressure for the first week of May.
