A few snow showers today, mainly in the afternoon in the high elevations as a very weak disturbances ripples through the area. High pressure will build into the region for the weekend with warmer temperatures and clear skies. Should be a perfect weekend to get outdoors.
Next week, we could see a bit of moisture entering the region bringing a chance for a few showers. Not much cold air, so I’d expect this to be mostly rain showers if we get anything at all.
In the long range, all eyes are on the evolution of a large trough that is going to park itself in the Gulf of Alaska and send several storms into the Pacific Northwest. Will this trough eventually progress inland? Right now, long range models keep us on the fringes until at least October 19. After that, we’ll see…
