Gorgeous conditions continue in the mountains of Utah. High pressure will keep us dry for the next few days. A couple systems will try to push some snowfall into the region later this week into next weekend.
Absolutely gorgeous conditions so far this weekend. This was yesterday morning’s webcam from Snowbird:
Conditions have been great over the past few days and I’ve gotten nothing but positive reports, and some truly stunning photos!
A slight chance for some light snow showers in places today, but other than that, we will dry out for the first half of this week. A weak, splitting storm will try to nose in on Thursday. Perhaps a chance for a few snow showers in the mountains. Potential for a second storm Friday into the weekend to have a bit more luck. This is a relatively new solution but it’s in both the GFS and EC to some degree. I don’t think it will be anything major, but some storm energy is certainly better than no storm energy — particularly while we wait for a major pattern shift.
We’ll keep an eye on this potential through the week. In the long range, it’s more of the same with a large trough of low pressure anchored off the Pacific coast.
