We’ve been stuck in an active pattern for the past 5 weeks or so. Not that I’m complaining, we needed the moisture and it gave us plenty of days of creamy turns in the Wasatch. However, it would be nice to have a weekend with warm and dry weather. That’s exactly what we should get this weekend. The active pattern looks to break, at least temporarily, with high pressure taking control.
These warm temps will likely accelerate melting of remaining snowpack. Good news for mountain biking and hiking, bad news for skiing. Speaking of mountain biking, trails will finally have a chance to dry out this weekend. Next week’s riding should be great! Enjoy!
