High pressure and warm temps will dominate the area through Tuesday before a trough (and snow) moves into the area midweek.
A quick moving disturbance passed over Northern and Central Utah this morning. If you blinked you missed it. A little bit of valley rain and less than an inch of mountain snow fell before we cleared out by sunrise in the SLC area.
High pressure will take over through Tuesday with warm, Spring-like temps. Pattern change will allow a large trough to move into the Western US on Wednesday with precip moving into Utah by Wednesday evening.
Models still disagree on details, but overall it looks like snow should fall through Thursday with at least moderate amounts in most mountain locations. Thursday could be a potential powder day if you’re looking to take another “sick” day this week. Stay tuned as timing will be subject to change as we get closer.
