Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Hopefully 2014 will bring us bountiful snowfall.  Unfortunately the first week or two (at least) of the new year will feature only smaller systems.  We had one weak grazing system move through last night that brought a trace to 1″ of snow in the Wasatch.

Inversions are still firmly in place and will remain so through at least Friday night.  This is when the next grazing system moves in.   This system looks rather weak with a best case scenario of a few inches in the high elevations.  Inversion will then re-establish themselves next week.  GFS still takes it’s time breaking down the ridge with a few weak systems possible between January 8th and 12th.  EC also has a couple weak waves moving through.    Nothing major in the next 10 days at least.

I’m thinking our weather patterns changed.

Seems like the pattern change is been just around the corner for almost 2 months now. I’m starting to lose paint of my car from washing it so much.

Lol.. Wsf is trying to remain positive but remaining positive doesn’t bring snow

I’m starting to think James knows something. Pretty long period to have no significant snowfall. Could be worse though. As in Tahoe.
