Patience needed . . . (Saturday PM Update)

Saturday Update:

Really not too much new to talk about… a system very similar to last night’s will move through the area during the day tomorrow with light snow.  A few inches in the Cottonwoods and an inch or less in the valley expected.

We will continue to be stuck on the eastern edge of an East Pacific High.  Systems drop down the Rockies from Alaska and dry out along the way.  The fast-moving nature of these systems doesn’t help us either.  What we are left with is a couple inches of snow with each wave and cold air.

Currently not much confidence beyond Week 1 in the models so for now I will just say that it looks like this pattern will continue as we head toward next weekend (Dec 10-11)… Still hoping for a pattern change to evolve between mid-month and Christmas.  Stay tuned….
