Models are more consistent the last couple runs with bringing a series of systems through the area, these are cool storms that more into the Pacific Northwest before dropping into the intermountain west. The first storm, which we initially believed to be following the track of the last storm and missing us to the east, is now forecast to affect the Northern Utah with at least light snow accumulations on Tuesday. Temps will drop into the 40s in the valleys and 30s in the mountains.
This system is followed by another similar system on Thursday night/Friday that may potentially bring more precip with moderate snow accumulations possible.
The pattern looks to continue with increasingly strong trofs into the following week with a decent chance at more snow following next weekend. Details are very vague right now, especially more than a week away, but the screaming message here is SNOW IS ON THE WAY! The only question is, how much?
