It’s here, storm that’s been advertised for the last 10+ days is arriving. And it’s going to be even bigger than we hoped. Up to 18 inches of snow above 8000 feet through Mid-day Friday. Worst part of storm will be tonight and Thursday, tapering to showers thursday night and friday. Up to 8 inches of snow is possible at 7000 feet and a few snow flakes may make it below 6000 feet thursday night. Perhaps the best part of this from a ski standpoint is it will cool temps enough to allow for snow-making.

For the Valley, windy today, rain developing by evening and continuing tonight and tomorrow turning to showers tomorrow evening. Scattered showers and cool temps on Friday.

Extended forecast suggests heights will rise and the jet will pummel areas to our north for a while. At least a week of seasonal weather with highs in 60s and lows in the 30s and 40s. Very nice fall weather.

Enjoy the storm!
